Last night I was lying in bed and I had the TV on a music station because that’s been my new favorite way to have the TV on recently. As I lay there and got my covers and pillows all adjusted just how I like them it hit me…

I’m going to be married in less than 3 months.

I won’t have a big bed all to myself anymore.

6 pillows might be extreme considering I’ll have another (larger) person sharing the bed with me.

Just sharing the bed period will be “extreme” for me.

It won’t be so easy to just hang out at bedtime with the TV on and lights on, while talking on the phone, etc.

I’ll have someone else to consider. Someone who’ll have a much earlier alarm call than I will.

If that someone sharing a sleeping space with me snores, I’ll have to deal with it.

It won’t just be the sound of my own breathing anymore.

It won’t just be “me” anymore.

It will be me AND my husband. My partner. My mate.

I’m gonna be a wife.

And that is crazy to consider sometimes.
