Me in five words? Small, Sassy, Spontaneous, Saved & Confident.
I didn’t want to use words that all started with “s”, or else you might have thought I was a little OCD…
I think the sheer fact that I had to explain that to you clearly gives away that I am indeed obsessive.
This site is based on my belief that there are no mistakes in life – we’re called to live one day at a time, because it’s enough on its own. I don’t believe in living in the past and I don’t believe in regrets. We are who we are because of the choices we’ve made, good or bad. I’m learning day by day not be troubled about the future because it hasn’t come. Where does that leave me? Living in the present. I read a quote once that said, “Don’t let the past steal your present.” and it stuck with me. We have to live life fully right here where we are and make each day intentional. Read, dance, floss, praise, cook and travel…these are my must-do’s in life. Be bold, ambitious, creative, loving, and satisfied. Be yourself.
This site chronicles my life from birth up to today, the present. I write about memories, experiences, lessons learned, food & cooking, crafting and plenty of other facets of life. This is me: becoming myself.
I was born in South Carolina and though I have spent my life as a resident of the South, I like to claim Northern roots. I was raised in a single-parent home by my mother and I have one younger sibling, Seth. My family has always been spread out all over the world, so once I moved off to college, I quickly made several friends that became my pseudo-family.
I am an alum of DFW’s University of North Texas! Caw! After graduating in 2005 (I was on the super-duper extended plan), I decided to plant roots in North Texas. Since then I have become a self proclaimed blog-o-holic and social media junkie. Crucial tasks like bathing, grocery shopping and sleeping have been replaced with endless hours on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, and, of course, writing material for this blog.
In 2007 I reconnected with my biological father and we reconciled 26 years of hurt and pain. We have since been building a relationship and I’m blessed to say that in October 2010, my father walked me down the aisle in my wedding.
On 10-10-10 I married the second love of my life, second only to Jesus, and I moved to Florida with him. Almost instantly I became a wife, a new resident to Florida and a step-mom to Faith, my husband’s daughter (she lives in Texas with her mom and stepdad).
So now I’m a newly wed and a new transplant to the Sunshine State of Florida. I also work from home and look forward to the vacations my hubs and I plan year round. I got a Kindle as a wedding present and I think it’s helped me get back into reading more frequently…well, and it might also be that I no longer have a wedding to plan that consumes my free time! Either way, I’ve enjoyed the adventure back into reading and I’ve found it’s also helped me wade back into blogging. A few other things: I enjoy volunteering and serving others, I love cooking, and I have a passion for sharing the gospel with my words and actions.
I’ve been blogging on and off since 2004 and because I love writing and its cathartic effect of me, I’m sure this hobby will continue for many more years to come. I hope to be intentional with my writing, and to impact my readers in a positive way. In a world of discontentment, pain, poverty, brokenness, etc. it’s nice to have some sunshine every once in a while.

Hi Bianca,
My name is Bonnie Clark and I am a Casting Producer for Season 2 of the Style Network’s docu-series,”Dallas Divas & Daughters”. We feature relationships between mothers and their daughters with high society Dallas as the back drop to the show. Currently, we are looking for additional cast members, and I was hoping you could help us spread the word that casting is happening now. I would be happy to send you a flyer with more details. Eligible candidates would live in the greater Dallas area and the daughters will be high school to college age. Anyone interested in applying or recommending someone should contact us right away at bonnie@4thfloor.tv. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Kind regards,
Bonnie Clark

You are absolutely beautiful. Do you love Florida as much as TExas? I don’t ever want to leave TExas. I love it here, but FLorida just might have a fighting chance if any state does.
