spent

I spent my tax money today. I bought a round trip ticket to Puerto Rico for round 2 this summer.  Yay…more surfing!

I [am] spent after travelling the last 2 out of 3 weekends.

I spent some quality time with a friend from college who now lives in The Windy City.

My hair was spent after being blown around all day by the wind in that city.

Good thing I am spending some time this week at the salon getting that mess of a head of hair in shape.

Even better? I won’t spend a dime on it! Yay for having friends that are new to salons and offer free cuts to their willing friends as part of their on-board training!

I will spend time uploading “before” and “after” pics once it’s done. Promise!

tax money

I just realized that the last time I posted was on tax day.  Hmmm. Taxes. Well, I got my refund long ago and put it right towards debt without a second thought. Why? Because I am counting on the “economic stimulus package” check to come any day now. I have no idea how much I’m getting – I just know I am bound and determined to spend it on anything but debt!

Here are some ways I am thinking of spending it:

1. Buy a dog. Wait. I don’t like animals…that won’t work.

2. New clothes…except I already have a lot of clothes.

3. Maybe new shoes! Yes, I could do with new shoes. Even though I just got a new pair less than a week ago. Make that 2 new pair (if flip flops count!)

4. My haircut. Though if I can wait it out long enough, I may end up getting that for free. Hmmm…

5. A plane ticket to Australia. I’m no fool – I know there is no way my check would cover that, but it could help that process to be less financially painful! I think as of now this is my plan: Use the money towards a round trip (though one way is tempting) ticket to Aussie land.  Ooooh. I am already excited!
